Primary cancer of the bone represents less than one percent of all cancers, while metastatic spread to the bone and adjacent soft tissues is considerably more common. In either case, all imaging modalities, ionising and non-ionising have a role to play (RTP) in diagnosis, staging, treatment, and follow-up.
