As a consultant sonographer, Pam will challenge you to ask how your practice has changed, in terms of reporting, since you qualified as a sonographer. You will identify the benefits of justifying referral requests and reflect on how you could implement change in your practice. As diagnostic capacity is reviewed following publication of the NHS Long Term Plan in 2020, we ask, how is the role of the sonographer changing as we emerge into a redesigned diagnostic service?
